New website for XCL Group | Applied Digital Marketing

Challenge

XCL is one of the leading recruitment agencies in Huddersfield and Oldham. Like any recruitment agency, their website is an indispensable front-end tool for attracting the right people to the right jobs, at the right time.

With their new website XCL wanted to shift the focus more towards candidates and jobs, rather than targeting employers. There was also a significant change in tone of voice to help them build rapport with candidates looking for roles in the construction, production, engineering and commercial sectors.

This is a website about making the right connections. With a big focus on approachability.

Solution

Using a contemporary palette of vibrant colours, we created a fresh new site with simplicity at its core.

Candidates looking for roles in any of its key employment sectors are now able to search either by job or sector, find out more online and then get in touch with a recruitment specialist.

The solution sounds obvious but we worked in close collaboration with the team at XCL to finesse the user experience, and to create a tone of voice that helped build genuine rapport with candidates.

Impact

As a tool for connecting candidates with employers, XCL now has a flexible recruitment website that genuinely feels like it has put the candidate at the heart of the experience.

For XCL, it also gives them the flexible platform they want to upload a wealth of content, beyond jobs, such as blogs and its monthly newsletter - all of which play a key role in creating a website that encourages visitors to engage with them beyond the primary function of finding a job.
