Applied Digital to take part in Firewalk challenge!

21st October 2016 in Charity

Members of the team at Applied Digital are taking part in a Firewalk on Thursday 24th November 2016, to help raise money for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.

The Firewalk consists of walking barefoot across red-hot coals, which, apparently, will not only be challenging but  will test our confidence and give us a sense of self fulfilment!

Jenny Green, Head of Project Delivery; Ellen Schofield, Web Content & SEO Executive; and Keely Womersley, wife of Andrew Womersley, Head of Development at Applied Digital will be spurring each other on to complete the challenge!

Applied Digital need to raise a minimum amount of £450 in sponsorship money for The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund for this challenge, and every extra penny that we raise over the minimum will also go straight to the charity!

The FireWalk is one of a series of events that the team at Applied have taken part in throughout the year, including Wear Red in Feb, Triathlon, Bake Sale, The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge  and Steve’s Skydive, so it’s been a busy year for us!

The Children's Heart Surgery Fund is a charity providing support for children and adults born with Congenital Heart Defects. The Fund provides valuable equipment, resources and research, as well as a support service for both the children and their families along the way.

We are raising money for this amazing charity due to the experience that Head of Development Andrew Womersley and his wife Keely have been through with their baby son Harris. Click here to find out more.

So far the team at Applied have raised an incredible £1,015 for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund and we would be very grateful if you would help us raise even more for this amazing charity by donating as much as you can! To donate, please visit our JustGiving page here!
