Copy+Paste coding culture

Only 3% of the industry know how to code according to a recent article on Brand Republic.

This statistic astonishes me! What are the other 97% doing? Copying and pasting code from a Google search?

Code to me is like painting was to Van Gogh or writing was to Shakespeare; it’s an art. To be able to write structured, considered website code requires a logical thought process about the task at hand, not just copy and pasting.[BREAK]

Maybe I just have an old fashioned way of thinking at age 27. I did after all attend University for three years to study how to create websites, scripts and databases using nothing but notepad; so I’m happy to be counted as the 3%.
